Cruise on Lake Annecy: the best way to combine business with pleasure!

Weekend program at Campings Annecy Friday and Saturday morning

Arrival on Friday afternoon from 3 p.m.: After settling into your accommodation, set off on foot from the campsite to see the lake at Doussard beach. The route we suggest allows you to avoid traffic: about 15 minutes on foot. A small beach to the right of the restaurant "chez ma cousine" allows dogs to swim.

In the evening you can try our bar-restaurant whose varied menu offers Savoyard specialties but also the great classics such as pizzas, salads or steak and chips.

Saturday morning: Cruise on Lake Annecy with a stopover to visit the old town.
Take the boat from Doussard beach (1.3 km from the campsite) to avoid traffic jams and parking problems in Annecy. One hour cruise (one way) with commentary and magnificent viewpoints.

You disembark just opposite the Old Prison and at the foot of the castle. There is a choice of return times by boat :2 p.m. or 4:45 p.m.

baie de talloires Abbaye de Talloires

Short stay Program Saturday and Sunday

Saturday late afternoon: Relax at the campsite at the swimming pools, on the deckchairs or play pétanque on our courts next to the playground!
For the evening meal, we can lend you a charcoal barbecue for a real camping atmosphere.

Sunday: Walk at the Roc de Chère nature reserve in Talloires. About 15 minutes by car from the campsite. Golf car park.  It is a fairly level walk with only 250m height difference. You can walk for between 1h and 2h30 depending on the route you choose. The paths are well marked, the ground shaded and the views of the lake not to be missed!
You may prefer to visit the Château de Menthon a few kilometers away, perched on a belvedere and overlooking the lake.
On the way back, stop at the village of Talloires famous for its bay and its gourmet restaurants (Abbaye de Talloires, Jean Supplice, Cottage Bise, and many others)

A WEEK STAY PROGRAMM

Perfect for a calm, relaxing stay in May, June or September. Our campsite is located at an altitude of 500m, the nights are cool and the days warm or can even be hot. Outside school holidays, we are not full, but all the services are open: shop, swimming pools, bar and restaurant.
A good idea is to rent a large mobile home or a chalet with three bedrooms and come with friends, or just enjoy the extra space. All mobile homes and chalets are equipped with television.
Animals are accepted outside July and August within the limit of two per accommodation.

Program of a one-week stay for outgoing, lively seniors Days 1 & 2

Day 1: Cruise on Lake Annecy with a stopover to visit the old town.
Take the boat in the morning from Doussard beach (1.3 km from the campsite) to avoid traffic jams and parking problems in Annecy. One hour cruise (one way) with commentary and magnificent viewpoints. You disembark just in front of the Old Prison and at the foot of the castle. There is a choice of return times by boat :2 p.m. or 4:45 p.m.
You can choose to visit the old town on a market day (Sunday, Tuesday and Friday) or not. The market is very large, mostly with food stalls. It is very busy, be prepared to see people.

Day 2: Visit the Gorges du Fier, the Château de Montrottier (Lovagny) or the Secret Gardens.
The lake flows into the Fier, a river that has spectacularly hollowed out the limestone rock over the centuries. A suspended walkway will allow you to admire this canyon in complete safety. Take advantage of being nearby to visit the Château de Montrottier, a place of legends and history.

Another place not to be missed: les jardins secrets. Originaly a farm, those wonderful gardens were totally renovated by a family since 1980 with a mosaic of small baroque gardens over 7000m².
For lovers of interior architecture, flowers and gardens.
On presentation of your camping poolband, you will have a place at a reduced price for a normal place purchased.

chamonix Télécabine Panoramic Mont-Blanc

Program of a one-week stay for outgoing, lively seniors Day 3

Day 3: Day in Chamonix-Mont Blanc
The town of Chamonix is famous for its proximity to Mont Blanc. From the town, the cable car takes you to more than 3800m above sea level. Stunning views over the Alps await you at the top, thrills and a fresh temperature guaranteed! Remember to bring trousers, sweaters and windbreakers, it is generally less than 5°c even in the height of summer. An ice cave is dug and sculpted every year under the Mer de Glace. A cogwheel train takes you from Chamonix. However, be aware that there are 200 steps to reach the glacier when you get off the train.
The secret: get up early! It takes at least 1h30 by road via Megève. With the Day Pass you can take the Aiguille du Midi cable car and visit the Mer de Glace for a few euros more.

roselend@otab Barrage de Roselend

Program of a one-week stay Days 4 & 5

Day 4: Thursday morning: market in Talloires and visit of the village. Famous for its bay and its gourmet restaurants (Abbaye de Talloires, Jean Supplice, Cottage Bise, and many others)
In the surroundings, you can walk to the Roc de Chère or the Cascade d'Angon (steeper), visit the Château de Menthon Saint Bernard. By car, you can go up to the Col de la Forclaz and stop to visit Saint Germain l'Hermitage. We warmly recommend a traditional meal in one of the three restaurants on the Col de la Forclaz. The view is magnificent, especially in the evening at sunset and the prices are correct.

Day 5: Visit of the dam and Cormet de Roselend with a stop in the village of Beaufort.
50 minutes from the campsite is the pretty village of Beaufort. Famous for its cheese, it has kept all its soul and authenticity. Stop at the cheese dairy to see the cheese being produced and of course taste a piece of this delicious AOC.
Then go to the Roselend dam, a titanic construction for the hydroelectric power station. Signs explain its history and the pedestrian bridge offers a magnificent panorama.
You can then take the road over the Cormet de Roselend, a route that is frequently used in the Tour de France, then cross into Italy, descending into the Aosta Valley via the Col du Petit Saint Bernard.
For the return to the campsite, you can take the same route or take the Mont Blanc tunnel and Chamonix.
